Powerhouse 30 Day DevotionalSample
In The Mundane
Have you ever thought, “ummm, my life is pretty mundane”?! I don’t have 10 million Instagram followers, I don’t have $1,000,000 in the bank, or I don’t have paparazzi following my every move. In actual fact, I’m struggling to hit 200 followers on Instagram, Twitter and MySpace (do we even use that?) combined! And I’m just studying away in my degree and working part-time at Kmart (who doesn’t love Kmart?!) – am I really making a difference?
Did you know that despite what may seem like a pretty mundane kind of life, there are so many moments that God can totally use your ‘mundane’ life to reach so many other people that no one else can impact but YOU. That’s living for God! Never write yourself off from living for God and living a life that makes a difference just because you’re currently in a season where it looks like there isn’t anything particularly special about your life. Throughout the Bible, we read so many stories of God using the ordinary, seemingly ‘mundane’ lives of people to do extraordinary things. Take the disciples for example: fisherman, tax collectors, and carpenters. Just look at what God did with their lives! We’re still talking about their ‘mundane’ days thousands of years later. Don’t tell me that God can’t take your seemingly mundane moments and use them for His glory.
Prayer: God, we thank You that in every season, in every moment, we can be used by You. Help every one of us to understand that You take the everyday moments, the seemingly mundane moments, and You make something beautiful out of them. Help us to comprehend that You desire and empower us to make a difference to every person around us. Amen.

About this Plan
How do we live for Christ? That's a big question, and ultimately we can't figure that one out by ourselves. In order to do so, we have to seek God, live by His Spirit and get to know Him more. Join with us over these next 30 days as we journey together and learn how to live a life more Christ centred and ways we can become more in love with Jesus.
