God made a way for us to be forgiven from sin and made right with God. There is only one way to God the Father, and that’s through our Saviour Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life.
Sin separates us from God and His purposes for our lives. Sin causes us to go our own way and make choices that take us away from the plans God has for us. Because of sin, we are lost and separated from God. We can’t make our own way back to God; we can’t be good enough, smart enough or do it in our own strength. Only the Saviour can rescue us.
The Bible teaches us that salvation is a gift. Forgiveness is a gift from God, not something we earn. We can be forgiven and made right because of Jesus. God is love and God has shown us what His love is like through Jesus.
