When reading the Bible, context is so important. As you read today and see the lists of things to do and not do, don’t miss the context which begins with the first phrase of verse 1: “Since then you have been raised with Christ”. In other words, "since you have been changed by Jesus..."
Other words of truth about you because of Christ are found throughout this passage. Therefore, as you read all the “do’s” and “don’ts,” remember that they are all in the context of who you already are because of Christ. He truly does change everything!
