Radiant YTH AdventSample

Have you ever tried explaining to someone what peace is? The words typically used to describe peace are ‘calm’ or ‘chill’ or ‘serene.’ But in today’s scripture, Paul refers to the peace God brings as a peace that “surpasses understanding.” It's not that it makes no sense and can't be understood, but that it's too big for us to fully explain. This peace is so unique it’s something we need to experience ourselves.
And the key to unlocking this peace is prayer! God wants us to share what’s on our hearts and tell Him what we’re asking for—He really wants to hear it! Sometimes our prayers aren’t answered because we don’t actually ask God for what we need. And if it’s peace you need, then who better to turn to than the God of peace?
- Bottom Line: God’s peace surpasses understanding and guards our hearts. Prayer is the key to unlocking this peace.
- Response: Spend 5 minutes in quiet prayer, asking for God's peace to fill your heart.
