Day 10: Persistence

Prayer is persistent. Prayer is persistent. Prayer is persistent.

Luke 18:1 says, "Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up." This verse emphasizes the importance of persistence in prayer, even when we may feel discouraged or unsure if our prayers are being heard.

In our daily lives, we may face challenges and obstacles that make it difficult to stay persistent in prayer. We may feel like our prayers are not being answered or that God is not listening. However, Jesus reminds us that we should never give up on prayer. We should continue to pray with faith and trust that God hears us and will answer our prayers in His perfect timing.

Being persistent in prayer not only demonstrates our faith and trust in God, but it also helps to strengthen our relationship with Him. Through prayer, we can seek guidance, comfort, and strength to overcome any difficulties that we may face. We can also express our gratitude and thanksgiving for the many blessings that God has bestowed upon us.

Therefore, let us not give up on prayer but instead, let us persevere and remain steadfast in our communication with God. Let us pray with faith and trust, knowing that God hears our prayers and will answer them according to His will. May our persistence in prayer bring us closer to God and deepen our relationship with Him.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help me to be persistent in prayer. When I am discouraged or feel like giving up, remind me of the power of prayer and of Your faithfulness. Remind me to ask and believe that You do and will meet all of my needs. Give me the strength and perseverance to continue to seek You, even when the answers to my prayers seem slow in coming. Re-energize in me a grateful heart. May my prayers always reflect my faith in You. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
