Precious Moments That Count For EternitySample
Entertaining Angels
Recently, while returning from work, I was driving past a crowded stretch. I realized that a car was stuck on the road, blocking the traffic. Most of the people were honking vigorously and giving the driver nasty looks as they passed by.
When I overtook the car, I looked at the car owner and noticed I could see despair and frustration on his face. The Holy Spirit nudged me to stop by and see how I could help. Normally on weekends I am waiting to get back home and spend time with my family. But when God calls, everything else can wait. I spoke to the individual, contacted the helpline number, and made sure they connected with each other. The next day, I got a thank you SMS from this stranger (a doctor). It was time well spent and was only the beginning of what God wanted.
Hebrews 13:2 reminds me that the act of hospitality is not any general act of kindness or coincidence, but is part of God’s plan, as He wants to see all saved. With the continued nudge from God, I traced the doctor’s telephone number and called him. He was thankful, and it gave me an opportunity to talk about prayer. I also invited him to an evangelistic programme in our local church.
It is not our efforts, but God’s mighty power at work in our lives. We are spurred to do good only by the Spirit, which works in us. He gives us the opportunities, so that we can be an active player in the ‘Great Commission’. And He guides us with His wisdom to build such relationships and share Christ’s love with strangers.
Prayer
Dear God, thank You for giving us the opportunity to serve like angels when we serve strangers. You have filled us with so much of Your unfailing love that serving comes automatically to us. Help us to win souls for Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

About this Plan
It is our prayer that it will reveal to those who don’t know Jesus Christ, that there is a Creator and Maker of this universe, the only loving and powerful God who longs for a personal relationship with every human being. We pray that these daily readings will remind us all of the great hope and abundant joy in knowing Jesus Christ, through whom we have eternal life!
