Precious Moments That Count For EternitySample
Be Not Passive
On normal evenings, on specific routes, rickshaws are hard to come by. One evening, frustrated, I was pacing to and fro, waiting for a rickshaw. Then it struck me how odd it is that I, a child of God, had to wait like every other person when I could just call an empty rickshaw into existence the very moment I got off at the railway station. When that revelation struck me, I immediately stopped fretting, stood firmly in one place and commanded it to come to me. Before I had even finished, a rickshaw came up right in front of me and picked me up.
I find it foolish, that despite the Bible telling us about the immense power and authority we have, so many of us choose not to exercise it. Authority doesn’t beg, doesn’t request, it commands! The Bible says, in Colossians 1:16 (ESV), for by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities- all things were created through him and for him ( Jesus Christ). And, we are the bride of Christ! Does that not mean that all things in heaven and earth are created for us?
Jesus used authority in so many situations. He commanded Jairus’ daughter to rise from the dead, He spoke into existence loaves of bread and fish for more than five thousand people. He even silenced a storm by simply speaking. Use your power of calling things into existence for small things, such as getting a cab, as well as the bigger ones. As you do this, and see the supernatural at work on a regular basis, you will see your faith strengthen by leaps and bounds!
Declaration
I am ‘the bride of Christ’. Everything in this world exists for me. I have the authority to call things into existence, through the power of the Holy Spirit in me. Amen.
