New Beginnings

Science teaches us that every particle in the body is replaced every seven years. This means that one is not the same person that one was seven years ago. We see that nature too is continuously changing – we have new seasons, longer days and shorter nights, the trees have new leaves, buds and flowers.
Yet Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). His nature and character is the same. And this unchanging God says that He will do a new thing in us. He tells us to let go of the past, the old memories, the old way of doing things and look forward to new things in our lives.
Romans 12:2 tells us that God wants us to renew our minds. He will show us deep things (Isaiah 48:6) and secret things that will not be known to ordinary men. When we spend time in His presence, He will show us things that will take place in the future. He will reveal to us treasures of darkness, the hidden riches of secret places.
We need to let go of our past mindset, quit dwelling on the losses of the past and the way people have treated us, and rejoice because of the new beginnings that are taking place in our lives.

Father, I thank You for the new beginnings You have planned for me. Help me to let go of my old mindset and embrace the new. Amen.
