Precious Moments That Count For EternitySample
God’s Guidance
How do we know what God’s plans are for our lives? The Lord says, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go, I will guide you with My eye” (Psalm 32:8). The Lord says, “I will”. He wants to direct our paths, so that we are not destroyed but have abundant lives.
The Bible says, Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105). We need to maintain a daily habit of reading God’s word because, primarily, He speaks to us through His Word. The Bible contains words of comfort, encouragement, advice, hope, direction, and peace. Sometimes, the Lord chooses to speak to us through our circumstances. We may be trying to achieve things, but they may not be happening. We may have a number of obstacles in our path to achieving those dreams. We need to realize that the Lord, in His perfect wisdom, closes those doors so that He can open wider doors of opportunity for us.
Sometimes, the Lord chooses to speak to us through people - our parents, pastors, friends, relatives. The Bible says, In the multitude of counsellors, there is safety (Proverbs 11:14). The advice we receive needs to be in agreement with God’s Word.
God leads us and guides us when we are willing to hear His voice.
Prayer
Father, I thank You for Your Word, which promises that You will lead me and guide me in all my ways. Help me to be sensitive to Your direction in my life. I love You Father. Amen.
