Ekidz Devotional: All About CreativitySample
Created to Share
Imagine you’re in a shop with delicate glass sculptures all around you. You see beautiful blown glass roses, dolphins, and Disney characters sparkling under the light.
You reach to pick one up when you notice a sign that says “handle with care.” The sign means to be gentle and careful with the sculptures because they can break easily.
Just like you should handle a glass sculpture gently, you should also be gentle with your words so people will receive them.
1 Peter 3:15 says, “Always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks you about the hope you have... But do it gently with respect.” Basically, be ready to respond to others about why you follow Jesus and what He has done in your life, but make sure you do it with kindness and respect.
A gentle person speaks truth — sometimes even painful truth — but they always watch their tone so others will listen.
God created us to show kindness and respect to others. When we treat people with kindness and respect, we can show them without words who Jesus is and how He has changed our life. Then our story becomes God’s story, and God’s story is worth sharing.
Ask yourself: What are some ways you can share about Jesus with kindness and respect? Can you think of ways to share without saying anything at all?
Challenge yourself: The Great Commission tells us to go out and tell everyone about Jesus. We can do this through words and actions. Be creative — find ways to share God’s story with and without words.
Pray: God, thank You for giving me a unique story that I can share with others. Help me to use the story You gave me to point people to You with kindness and respect! In Jesus’ name, amen.

About this Plan
Creativity is more than the ability to paint or play music. It’s learning what pleases Christ —and doing it in a unique way only you can! In this four-week devotional we’ll learn that God is our creator and He gave us the ability to create. We’ll explore Bible stories and listen to the eKidz family podcast, “Adventures Of The StarKeepers,” to help us apply these lessons to our lives
