He Will Do It
Thessalonians 5:23, 24
“May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.”
The sanctifying work of God in our lives is transforming us as we yield and surrender to him. As the God of Peace works in us and we yield to him, we too grow in peace. Every part of our spirit, soul and body is being transformed by God into the image of Jesus Christ. God is the initiator of this transformation work, but we must surrender our will and cooperate with him. God is faithful and will do this transforming work in our lives! Our confidence is in the God of Peace to complete the good work he began in us. Once beginning with full dependency on Christ at salvation let us not slip back to self-reliance in our sanctification, but fully lean on Christ.
Jesus Christ, you are my transforming leader and I yield to your work in me today.
