Finding Life
Matthew 6:25, 32-33
“…do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food?...the pagans run after all these things…But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Where do we experience life?
There is a temporary high in pleasure, in accumulating clothes or material things, but it doesn’t last and it doesn’t satisfy. Life is found in a relationship with God through his Son, Jesus, our righteousness. The depth of fulfillment, peace and joy that is available in full surrender to Jesus Christ is what we were created for. Anxiety corrodes our life and is often the result of misplaced attention or priorities. Let’s refocus our life on Jesus and his kingdom mission.
Lord Jesus, you are the Way, the Truth and the Life. My eyes are on you this day.
