To Love God...

Many people believe that following God is easy because God's goal for us is to be happy. However, after about two weeks of following Him it's not hard to realize that God has not called us to happiness, necessarily, but to obedience. In fact, these passages make it clear that to love God is actually to obey Him. Not feeling good about Him, not wearing Jesus T-shirts - obeying Him. Learning to obey Christ will improve every other area of our life, including our marriage, because God can bless those who are obedient.

Talk with your future spouse about being obedient in the following areas: tithing, serving, attending church, & inviting friends to church.
