"Sexodus" Relationships DevotionalSample
Two Are Better than One
Getting married means you're starting your own team. You're not a part of your parent's team or your siblings' team anymore - you have our own. And it's important to remember that when you work together as a team, your impact is exponential. The enemy loves to bring division because it will render both parties ineffective. This means that as Christians we ought to be wary of attacks from the enemy and remember everyday that we are at war with him. When we remember this, we aren't surprised when divisive issues arise, when tensions get high, and when things get difficult because we know the source. This makes negotiating and working together easier because it's not our spouse that's the enemy - it's the devil.
Talk with your future spouse about this concept and consider ways to be alert to his schemes in the midst of everyday life.
