Christ is Alive in Me

One light bulb can illuminate an entire room that would otherwise be filled with darkness. However, the light bulb does not create the light independently, it must be connected to a much more powerful source. Similarly, we are called to be vessels that carry the light and power of the love of Jesus Christ. We have the potential to radiate the transforming power of God.

So, what does it mean to allow Christ to be made alive in us? What would it look like to allow His will to govern our lives? His direction to be our direction? What if we had the power to love and care for the world like He does? The good news is, if you have accepted Christ as your savior, you have access to BE THE LIGHT.

We are called to be Christ in this world! We have been commissioned by God to BE and BRING the light of Jesus Christ to all people! That is what it means to have Christ alive in us, we allow Him to act and love through us! As we continually submit ourselves as vessels for Christ, He shines through. As our will decreases in importance, Christ’s will can rise. Even Jesus prayed, “Not my will, but yours be done.” The faith, hope, and love of Jesus Christ can burn brightly in you and through you. This light is so powerful that it becomes evident to all, that it is not us, but Christ in us! THAT kind of power, Christ’s power, when released, reaches beyond culture and difficulties and brings light and hope to others.

You are made to BE THE LIGHT!

1. REFLECT: What does it mean to you, that you have the POWER of CHRIST inside of you? Do you believe it? What are you reflecting to the people around you? If people didn’t know you were a Christian, would your actions reflect those of Christ?

2. PRAY: Lord, help me see HOW to allow CHRIST to be fully alive in ME. Show me the things that do not reflect your faith, hope and love. Lord, not my will but YOURS be done!
