LIVING BEYOND: What I Feel 

I find my security when I build my life on who God is. 

We live in a social-media driven world where trends are constantly shifting from one thing to the next. We change who we are and what we do based on the things we see in an attempt to stay relevant. Our security is found in our ability to keep up. 

We’re tempted to chase after an idea of what we think will bring us happiness and fulfillment, but often times we are left feeling insecure and empty handed. Other people's opinions begin to define who we are and how we live our lives.

But Jesus didn’t sacrifice everything so that we would spend most of our lives wondering if we were enough. He gave up His life, so that in the midst of our insecurity we would have a firm foundation to stand on. He is a place of refuge to go to even when we feel unqualified and unworthy. 

Unlike the opinions of others, Jesus’ love for you is constant and unchanging. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He  is consistent and His grace knows no bounds, making Him the only one worth building our lives on. 

Our faith is dependent on establishing our foundation in the Lord. When we find our security in Jesus, we are free from the comparison and pride insecurity often creates. As we place our trust in Him, we’ll find that our confidence is no longer dependent on the views of others, but is solidified in knowing that God calls us His own.
