Kids Can Fight Fear

DAY 4 OF 8

I live only for God.

Sometimes people try to get us to do something we know is wrong. When that happens, God wants us to be a light in our community. That means we’ve got to be a good example.

When you’re a light for God, you stand up for what’s right—even when everybody else is doing what’s wrong. That can be hard. God sees when we stand up for Him, and it makes Him happy.

God’s thoughts about you matter more than anyone else’s. Live only for Him.

Watch the video, then use the Bible verse Proverbs 29:25 to play Stop and Say. It will help you remember that God is happy when you put him first!

Stop and Say

1. Write out all of Proverbs 29:25 on a piece of paper.

2. Draw a stop sign on a different piece of paper.

3. Read Proverbs 29:25 over and over again as loud as you can.

4. Stop reading when your friend holds up the stop sign.

5. Start reading again when your friend puts the stop sign down.

6. Switch papers with your friend and play again until both of you can say Proverbs 29:25 without reading it.

Talk It Over: What can you do to stand up for what’s right?
