Kids Can Fight Fearنموونە
I live only for God.
Fear is a good thing when it keeps us from something dangerous like jumping off something too high or touching a hot stove. But fear is even better when it teaches us about courage! When we learn to trust God, He makes us brave! We are not meant to live in fear.
Think about Daniel from the Bible. He learned to have courage when there was something to be afraid of. His enemies were watching to see if He would pray to God. If he did, they’d throw him into a den of lions! Now that’s scary.
But Daniel didn’t live to please his enemies. He lived only for God. Daniel trusted God and continued praying to Him. God sent an angel to close the mouths of the hungry lions until Daniel got out of the lions’ den the next morning.
Sometimes, we have to face tough challenges to do what is right. But God is great and mighty, and He gives us the strength to live only for Him.
Talk It Over: In what ways are you brave? What are some ways God can help you to be braver?
