A Year of Prayer: Season One Weekday Devotionalsنموونە

This week, we will explore different elements of the scripture through poetry.
The brave and the bold
The broken and weak
Gather together
The mercy seat
A place where grace is
Poured out
lavishly
wastefully
recklessly
A ridiculous offering
an outpouring
Of fragrant perfume
That fills a room
with freedom
Hope
The scent of open fields
Fresh cooked meals
A warm hearth
And a steaming bath
A mindful look
A fond look
From above spectacles
The reading nook
where the Saviour rocks
Patiently
Waiting up
Smiling graciously
You are welcome home
Prayer: Jesus, help me to embrace the warmth of your presence, your fondness for mercy and peace, your strength in justice, and your belief in wholeness. God, reveal your character through your children.
Action: Reflect on the poem above. What aspects of God do you most resonate with or read between the lines?
