The Purpose of Christmasنموونە
Have you ever noticed the way the Christmas season seems to inspire us to show God’s love to the world around us? It almost seems like suddenly, everyone is ready to meet needs, help others, donate their time or money, and do everything they can to spread cheer to those around them. That movement of love is inspired by God’s ultimate act of love. It’s a response to the way God sent Jesus as the ultimate display of love.
With that, God showed us that love is so much more than a feeling—it’s an action. See, God didn’t just show us how to freely give love; God acted on it by freely giving us His love. So, as we act in our freedom to respond to and share that love with others, we’re following God’s lead. We’re demonstrating the love and goodness God has already given us. That’s part of the purpose of Christmas, and it’s the part of what we have the freedom to step into in this and any season. Who do you know that might need a little love this holiday season?
This week, think of one way you can act on the nudge to share God’s love with them by showing up, caring for, or supporting them however you feel led.

We’ll unpack the incredible story behind the birth of Jesus Himself to understand what the purpose of Christmas really is.
