The Purpose of Christmasنموونە
Christmas is a season that seems to be filled with hope. Maybe it’s hope for a gift under the tree, or hope for a break from work, or hope for a fresh start in the new year. Whatever it is you’re hoping for right now, remember that the hope we celebrate at Christmas is the hope we have in Jesus. Our hope is in the One who came to save us. It’s in the One who came to this world as a Baby just to be with us. It’s in the One who rescued us. It’s in the One who made things right for us. It’s in the One who set us free.
Because of Jesus, no matter what life looks like today, we have the gift to hope for a better tomorrow. We have the gift of hope to believe there’s always more to the story. We have the gift of hope that sets us free. Today, find a worship song with lyrics about hope. It can even be a Christmas song! As you listen to it, pick out your favorite lyric and write it down. Let the words remind you of the hope you have because of Jesus.
