Growing in Truth – For Kidsنموونە
Read Philippians 4:8
You’ve spent the past few days learning about truth, and yesterday you spent time in prayer asking God to show you areas where you need to grow. Today, take time to think about things that please God, things that are true and right and lovely in His sight. Spend today in prayer praising God for all the wonderful things He has made and done, and make a list of 10 things that fit Philippians 4:8…I bet you’ll think of way more than 10 once you get started!
Meditate
Spend the entire day in an attitude of prayer (you can walk around with your eyes open, just always be talking to God in your head), constantly thinking about things that are true and right and lovely.
Example: When you look outside and see a bird or a tree, think, “Wow—that’s beautiful! Thank you, God, for making such an interesting and wonderful world!” Or when you eat something that tastes good, thank God for providing you with food and the person who prepared it for you. Anything can be turned into truth—even a rainy day where, instead of feeling stuck inside, you recognize that God is providing the earth with water so that things like flowers and food can grow. This practice lets you focus on all the good and lovely and wonderful things that are TRUE when you recognize that they came from God!
