21 Days: Revive Us Again

DAY 3 OF 21

DAY 3: HAND IT OVER

Reflection:

When we visit a doctor, he diagnoses our condition and prescribes the most effective treatment. We trust that the doctor's guidance will lead to our recovery. Likewise, God desires to revive us, but we need to trust Him and surrender dead and dry areas of our lives.

Luke tells the story of a blind man who called out to Jesus. This man had to acknowledge his condition, surrender everything he had known, and trust that Jesus would restore his sight – and He did!

Like the blind man, we may have struggled with lifeless and arid patches in our lives. God will breathe new life into us as we surrender these areas to Him. It might mean letting go of past hurts, laying down old mindsets and familiar situations, or giving our plans and ambitions to God.

When God reveals dead areas in our lives, let us not hide them from Him or try to figure things out on our own. Let us surrender every part of our life to a benevolent God who understands our struggles intimately and desires to bring us wholeness. Fully yielding to God positions us to experience the revival He desires to bring in and through us.

Response:

What are some of the dead areas of your life that God is revealing to you? Are there areas that you have intentionally chosen to withhold from God? God desires to revive you again, but you need to come to a place of full surrender.

Take this opportunity to surrender every part of your life to God and allow Him to bring restoration and revival to these dead and dry areas of your life.

About this Plan

21 Days: Revive Us Again

Revival. We may have sung it. Prayed for it. Declared it. Most times, revivals are invisible, gradual, and start up quietly in the place that matters the most – in our hearts.
