21 Days: Revive Us Again

DAY 7 OF 21

DAY 7: FIXING WRONG PERSPECTIVES

Reflection:

Our perspective is often influenced by what we see. When difficulties arise, people are prone to focus on the negative. Like Elisha’s servant, we may feel surrounded by enemy troops everywhere. We see only the problems and our inability to overcome them.

When Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes and let him see,” God opened the servant’s eyes, and he saw the hillside filled with heavenly horses and chariots of fire. His eyes were opened to see the sovereignty of God.

What is limiting us from stepping into the revival that God wants to bring? Have we become hesitant to step out and trust God because of difficulties and disappointments? Have we become fearful to embrace all that God desires to do in our lives because of doubt and unbelief? These mindsets and perspectives could be some of the dead things that need God to breathe His life into again.

God wants us to see beyond! He wants us to focus on Him and see life through His eyes.

Response:

What are you focusing on that is affecting your thoughts and feelings? What perspectives do you need to change to see God's hand in your situation?

Ask the Holy Spirit to point out any wrong perspectives that distort your vision. Surrender any negative thoughts that result from your inability to see as God sees. Ask Him to give you His perspective!

About this Plan

21 Days: Revive Us Again

Revival. We may have sung it. Prayed for it. Declared it. Most times, revivals are invisible, gradual, and start up quietly in the place that matters the most – in our hearts.
