21 Days: Revive Us Againنموونە
DAY 2: A STRANGE EXPEDITION
Reflection
Sometimes, the Holy Spirit takes us to places that we least expect. Ezekiel was led by the Lord not to a place of revival but to a place of death – a valley of dry bones. How grisly! However, Ezekiel allowed God to bring him to see all God wanted to show him, even if it meant unpleasant things.
Similarly, God wants to show us the dead areas in our lives that He wants to revive. Bones are what is left when life has passed. There may be “bones” in our hearts from things that we may not have realized have died due to neglect over time. Or there may be things we deliberately buried that we want to run from. There may also be “bones” that we hold on tightly to because we are unable to let go, and they have come to define us.
God wants to fully restore us. There are no bones too dry that he cannot revive. However, we need to be willing to let Him bring us across our valley to show us exactly what has died. Truthfully, the journey will be unpleasant and even painful at the start. It will be confrontational at times, but it will be a journey with a good and loving Father whom we can trust and who has a purpose for our lives.
Response:
Be willing to let God lead you where He wills - even to visit the dead areas in your life that He wants to address. Permit Him to search your heart, and remember that He will only bring you as far as you let him.
Ask God to show you dead areas in your life so you can begin to surrender them to Him.

About this Plan
Revival. We may have sung it. Prayed for it. Declared it. Most times, revivals are invisible, gradual, and start up quietly in the place that matters the most – in our hearts.
