Underground Believersنموونە
Our bond in Christ so intimately connects us to our brothers and sisters that Scripture tells us that we “rejoice when one rejoices” and “weep with those who weep.” Several terrorist groups heavily increase the persecution against our brothers and sisters during Passion Week. These groups have one agenda: if you follow Jesus you will suffer and die like Jesus. Several of our family members were crucified last year in the persecution, so it is more important than ever that we lift them up in prayer.
Let’s remember our brothers and sisters in closed countries who are being oppressed. We share in Christ’s death spiritually because our old self dies when He gives us a new heart, but some of us are also called to physical death. However, we can’t forget that the physical death Jesus suffered resulted in victory over that death and He shares that victory with us! So, although we may lose some family to martyrdom, we rejoice that our Savior has made it possible that we join Him in Everlasting Life.
If you do not live in a country where following Jesus could cost you your life, would you consider standing with believers around the world where that is a possibility? Will you commit to praying for them that they would stand firm in the Gospel and bring glory to Jesus through their trial?

About this Plan
The Bible is full of “heroes of the faith” who had to endure persecution and even death for the sake of the Gospel of Christ. In much the same way today, followers of Christ are still facing horrific persecution and even death for the sake of Christ. Find out who these underground believers are and how they are standing firm in the faith.
