DAY 6: Obedience

Encounters with God mark us, transform us, and change us from the inside out. But the true dimension of your encounter with God is stepping out in obedience from the encounter you had with Him. God has called us to live out our encounters with Him, which is stepping out in obedience to what He has said to us. Maybe God spoke to you to start a prayer group at your school, or to start a business, or to give time to serve at youth, or to share your faith with someone, or to help out at home more. Whatever he spoke to you, we can trust Him as we step out in obedience, that he will be with us and will lead us into breakthrough and blessing.

Stepping out in obedience for God, is risky, uncomfortable and sometimes doesn’t make sense! God reminds us that He is with us always no matter what! But if we truly love God, we will be the people that obey Him, no matter what He says to us. Jesus says, if you love me, keep my commands and obey what is spoken to you. God speaks specifically and uniquely to every believer about things to obey Him in that would extend His Kingdom. The things God speaks to us to do in obedience to Him are things that will see His Kingdom expand and see us grow in our walk with God. Let’s be the generation who would not back away or get scared when God speaks to us. No matter how crazy, radical, or hard the step of obedience looks like, let’s believe that as we step out in obedience, God would bring increase and breakthrough on whatever we step out in.

Prayer: God, help me be bold! Help me to walk in obedience to the things you've spoken to me. I trust you, God. Amen.
