Living Out an Encounter

DAY 3 OF 7

DAY 3: Surrender to Him . . . Leave Old Things Behind

An encounter with God always leaves us with a fresh awe and wonder of our God. This translates into a heart posture of fresh surrender to His call and plan for our life! The Bible says that God authored the plans for our life and that they would be plans that would be prosperous and fulfilling, not harmful and problematic. As believers, the safest place to be is to live a life of complete surrender to God, no matter what He desires of us!

We can trust that the plans God has for us are good and prosperous! As we submit to the plans He has for us, He will give us purpose and make every path straight in our lives. As we submit to following Jesus, we have to surrender and lay down some of our own desires and dreams that we may have had before coming to youth camp. It may be uncomfortable and daunting to do this, but let me assure you as we trust in our God with the plan He has for us, we will walk in complete fulfillment in purpose for our lives that cannot be found in any other place. Maybe today, you can think about some of the things you have to let go in your life in order to completely surrender to our God because He knows what's best for us!

Prayer: God, I trust you and know that when I surrender to you, you direct my path and show me your ways. You know what's best for me. Amen.
