A New Life Outlook

DAY 6 OF 6

"I lost a day…"

I had organized an excursion and invited people to join, but now there were so many difficulties with the planning that I was constantly on the phone and had to invest two full days of time into making sure the excursion could actually happen.

I even had to take my car in on short notice, and since my authorized repair shop is almost two hours away by car, that meant I'd lose almost an entire day.

Wait, lose? Where did that expression come from—"losing" days? But those were my thoughts exactly: "Because of this trip I've planned in hopes of bringing joy to others, I'm now losing two days…" And, of course, thoughts like these are often followed by others like "This always happens to me…" and "Why doesn't anyone help me?"

But, love begins in secret. Love can also be a battle, and therefore it's a decision. Many things can challenge this decision: "I have no time, I don't have any strength, I want to be loved first," and so on.

As Mother Teresa said so beautifully, "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love."

I'd like to add a quote of my own here, too: "If we want people to see what we give others, we pass by a divine blessing that we could experience on a much deeper level."

The Word of God tells us, "Do everything in love." (1 Corinthians 16:14, NIV)

Everything!

Now let's come back to the question, "Why do we say 'I lost a day'?" You don't lose a second of your life when you choose love! Every minute that you choose love is a minute that paves the way for a miracle in the future!

I encourage you to choose to do everything today with and for love. You'll see how this decision strengthens and empowers you in the long run!

You are a miracle!
