A New Life Outlook

DAY 1 OF 6

Give your worries to Him!

How many times have you worried in your life? If I think about it for just 30 seconds, an infinite number of situations already come to mind for me!

How many times have you worried today, even if it's still early in the day? I don't even need to hear the answer directly from you…I know it's likely rather frightening.

Could it be that we've forgotten something essential? Have we forgotten to trust God with our thoughts and worries, believing that we ourselves must have the answers to everything?

God is calling out to us, saying, "Rejoice in the new morning, and don't worry right away!" God knew from the beginning that we'd have worries. If we realize that, then they need no longer surprise us, and we can respond right away…in the right way. :-)

Matthew 6:34 says, '"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.'" (Matthew 6:34, NIV)

Can we accept that worry is part of life and then give it away to the "worry-bearer" and "worry-solver"? It seems that David learned this life lesson, for how many times does he talk about worry and relief in one breath? "In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From His temple He heard my voice; my cry came before Him, into His ears." (Psalm 18:6, NIV) or "They attacked me at a moment when I was in distress, but the LORD supported me." (Psalm 18:18, NLT)

David responds to every worry with trust in God! Will you do the same today and respond to each of your worries with this verse or another powerful scripture? "You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping." (Psalm 18:36, NLT)

Choose to stop worrying today. Give your worries to the One who clears a path for you, and rejoice in this new morning! ☀️

You are a miracle!
