Act Up

DAY 9 OF 9

Keep Going

What’s your dream job? CEO of a company? Owner of a business? Star athlete? What’s the best possible position you could imagine for yourself? Now imagine for a second that you made it there. What do you have to work for? What do you have to improve on? There’s a good chance that once you get to your dream, you may kind of stall out and not have as much drive to get better.

As Christ followers, we never arrive at perfection. We are continually becoming more like Jesus every day, but we never make it to 100%. So what do we do when we feel like we’ve stalled out or are struggling to grow? Go back to what worked when you were growing.

Are you praying? Get connected with God directly.

Are you in community? Get connected with other people you can encourage and worship with.

Are you in a mentoring relationship? Find one through your church, and invite them to speak into your life.

These things will get you back on track and push you to grow again. More than anything, remember that your Father loves you. He wants you to grow. And He’s given you everything you need to take steps closer to Him and closer to becoming everything He created you to be.

It’s always tough to stay on track, but it’s always worth it. Choose to be disciplined in your growth, and over time you’ll see the growth in your life that you want to see.
