Daily Prayers for Grieving Hearts: A 21-Day Plan for Comfort on the Road to Recoveryنموونە
YOUR STORY—A VESSEL
Jesus told the crowds all these things in parables, and He did not tell them anything without a parable. MATTHEW 13:34
There is power in a story. That’s why Jesus spoke in parables to the crowds, time and again. Everyone can relate to them as the mind quickly latches on to events that spur the imagination. Our lives are a story unique to us that no one else can declare. And while Jesus gave narratives long ago, He’s unfolding them still through each circumstance we face. While we do, others are watching and listening, even cheering us on toward victory as we do the same for them. So, what will your story tell? Will it lead back to the love of the Father? Will it reveal His miraculous hand on your heart? Will others want to follow your steps—even through difficulty and pain—so they can meet the Savior in ways they never knew? May the answer be yes, just as Jesus said when He accepted His fate on the cross. His entire life is about being led to the Father and us following. May ours do the same.
Lord, I want my life to matter for a bigger purpose than myself. I want what I’m facing to be nothing compared to the glory and honor that You deservedly receive. Hold my heart and guide my steps to close any gap of unbelief and doubt so that I am closer to You than ever before. Grow my faith and establish my feet to stand in Your honor and walk in Your ways so that others will want to follow and find You for themselves. Make my life story into a vessel that leads to You and the love You desire to give to all of humanity.
I PRAY THAT ALL GLORY POINTS TO YOU. AMEN.

About this Plan
Grief has many phases, and some phases make it difficult for us to find the words or motivation to pray. In the moments when we need God the most but can’t seem to connect with Him, this 21-day reading plan can give us language to bridge the gap. It helps you remember that God is close to the brokenhearted, deeply attentive to your pain, and capable of healing and restoring all of us. Each day, read a short message about a promise from God, find a corresponding Scripture, and let the daily prayer guide your time with the Lord.
