Dash: Seeing Life Through the Lens of Eternityنموونە
Love Unexplainable
As a result of what we have journeyed through these past two days, there could be a tendency for us to feel that everything we are doing on Earth is somehow earning us a place in Heaven. But this is not the case at all!
Take a look at Psalm 139:13-16 and Ephesians 2:8-10. The glorious message of Grace is that Jesus reached down into our world and paid the price we could never pay. Think afresh upon the wonder of God’s free gift of salvation to you right now.
We don’t live for Jesus to earn His love; we live for Him because we already have His love!
What a joy and privilege to live our days for a loving Heavenly Father, who also wants to reward us for all eternity for lives on Earth that magnify His name.
Maybe today, you feel that you don’t deserve God’s love or somehow need to earn it. I want you to know He loves you with an uncontainable love. Take a brief read of the Lost Sheep, the Lost Coin, and the Prodigal Son in Luke 15 for some extra encouragement. Focus your eyes afresh on the incredible God of Grace who has died for you on the cross and is preparing an eternal home for you to enjoy. This is what it means to ‘fix our eyes on the unseen."
Through the Lord’s love for us, He gives us purpose now and hope for all eternity. Many unknowns exist in our lives, but we can be absolutely confident of the Father’s love. Allow that to stoke the fires of your heart and, as a result, experience the boldness, courage, and strength to live the Christian life.
Point to Ponder: On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), how loved by God do you feel?
Dear Lord Jesus. Thank you for your incredible love for me. I don’t deserve it, but I am so grateful.
