[Wisdom for Kids] the Purpose of Proverbsنموونە
A Happy Life
The last verse of Proverbs 1 says that if we listen to wisdom, we will live in peace, not worried about any harm. The Bible doesn’t say that bad stuff won’t happen. It says that those who pay attention to God’s wisdom can trust Him.
Life has its hills and valleys. There is no other way around it. We enjoy the good times in our lives and hope we can always stay there. But life is not always fun or fair; we must also go through the difficult things that help us grow. God allows for both fun and challenging times in our lives so we can seek Him and His wisdom and eventually grow to be who He wants us to be.
Ask your parents about a time that was difficult for them. Did that experience help them grow in their trust in the Lord? How did they see God’s wisdom at work in their lives?
You can be at ease knowing that you have a Heavenly Father who loves you and is always there for you. You have nothing to fear.
(Parents/adults – How has following God’s wisdom helped you get through hard or unfair times? Share with your child one Bible verse or one piece of godly wisdom that helps you when you are struggling.)
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I want to thank You for allowing me to receive Your wisdom in my life. I want to keep growing in confident trust in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
