[Wisdom for Kids] the Purpose of Proverbs

DAY 6 OF 7

Wisdom

A good friend looks out for you, shares her things, loves and encourages you, and wishes you well. Wisdom is the best of friends. She is always available when you want her advice. She will be there for you when things don’t go well and help you figure things out. You don’t have to have all the answers. Wisdom does.

You don’t have to be afraid when you have wisdom as your friend. If you search for her, you will find her, just like God. He is always by your side. But if you ignore God and His wisdom because you want to follow your ways, you will find yourself in trouble and have to face the consequences.

Was there a time you messed something up and wished you had listened to your parents instead of doing what you wanted? Did your parents show you grace after your mistake? God will always forgive you when you ask for His forgiveness. Your parents will forgive you too.

(Parents/adults – Talk to your children about how you have found God’s grace and forgiveness in your own life. How has that changed how you see yourself? How has that impacted your relationship with God?)

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I’m sorry for all the times I have done what I wanted instead of what was best. Please forgive me and make me more like Jesus. In His name, I pray, amen.
