[Wisdom for Kids] the Purpose of Proverbs

DAY 5 OF 7

Choices

As you grow up, you will find other kids who do not fear the Lord and make the wrong choices. Maybe because they don’t know Him, or they don’t have admiration or respect for Him. These kids are unaware of God’s wisdom; if they are aware of it, they don’t hold it in high regard.

Kids who don’t know the Lord don’t want to do what pleases Him. They only want to satisfy themselves, but they will never be satisfied. If they always do what they feel like doing, they become greedy.

If you are a child of God, you have nothing in common with kids who make the wrong choices. Do not hang out with them or follow them around. They will only find trouble as a consequence of their selfish actions.

As a child of God, you can show them God’s way. Talk to them about God’s truth and wisdom. God loves them and wants to know them, but they must let God change their hearts so they can walk on His path. Do you know anyone who needs to know the Lord? Let’s pray for them:

(Parents/adults – Share the name of someone you know who needs the Lord in their life.)

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for ______________. Please help them get to know You so they can walk in Your ways and have a happy life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
