DAY 20 OF 31

The Power of Purpose - Proverbs 20

Finding and living out our purpose is powerful. Mark Twain famously said, “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born, and the day you find out why.” The Bible says God created our inmost being and knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). He also deposited a divinely implanted sense of purpose inside each of us (Ecclesiastes 3:11 AMPC). We all want to know what God has for us and why we’re on this earth. Yes, we’re called to serve God and His purposes, but He also has something specific for you to do. The most important thing you can do is seek God and ask Him to show you what His purpose is for you.

I believe God will also send people to you to help you discover your purpose. People who know you and have insight into your life are invaluable – sometimes, they can even see things you can’t see. Let them help you draw out God’s great purposes for your life.

“Father, thank you for depositing purpose inside of me. I want to know and live out your purpose for my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
