DAY 4 OF 6

REWARD FOR BELIEVERS

Revelation 14:7

saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.

In every race, there must be one main winner or front runner. The Christian lives are also described as an arena of matches and every winner will receive a reward from God. The apostle Paul described himself as a participant in the game and he had finished the final game, which was the game of faith.

In the game of faith, much like an athlete's race, the most important thing that must be learned and practiced is self-control. Athletes are very disciplined in order to achieve maximum results. As believers living in this world, we need self-control and perseverance until the finish line. As believers, there is a reward in heaven that the Father provides for us.

A life that perseveres in faith, is a life lived by glorifying God in all circumstances, especially when we are enduring a test of faith while waiting for God. By living with self-control we dare not compromise with sin. Remember that this was what Joseph did when he was at his master's home in Egypt.

We should love and respect the Lord while we are here on earth. We should live in honor of God because He is omniscient. What do we do when no one is looking at us or when no one is watching? In our day-to-day life, in our work, in our play, in our business- when we are blessed and entrusted with a great opportunity, or when there is a chance to cheat-  how is our attitude before God? We cannot let our faith fail us.

There is a reward in heaven that the Father provides for us.
