Rejoice and Be Glad!

Psalm 118:24

This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad today!

Another kid might be longing for the Smiggle bag that you threw to the rubbish bin.

Another kid might be overjoyed the day they received your pass-down toys that you thought were already not worth playing. 

Sometimes what you take for granted, someone else might rejoice over!

This is what this Psalm is teaching us. To rejoice and be joyful every single day. This is possible as long as you have Jesus in your heart. 

Life without Jesus is like a doughnut. It feels like there was a hole in the middle of your heart that cannot be filled with anything else. Only Jesus can fill the emptiness of your heart and make you rejoice in both good and bad days. 

Forget about your sadness of yesterday and worries of tomorrow, let's rejoice today as God makes today! Be glad and joyful from the moment you open your eyes till the time you lay your head to have a good sleep. 

Prayer

Dear Jesus, Your love covers me and gives me strength to face my daily life so that I can live my days with courage and joy. Let me rejoice today and be glad! Amen.
