A Happy Person!

Psalm 112:1

Happy is the person who fears the Lord. He loves what the Lord commands.

This Psalm writes that there is another blessing that comes from obeying God’s commands. If you live your daily life obeying God’s word, not only will you gain wisdom, but you will also be happy! The Bible says happy is the person who fears the Lord. 

God gives the key to a happy life – fear Him. As we have learned from the previous reading, to fear God means to live according to His word. In other words, we need to obey all His commands and get rid of the things that do not please God. When you do these, you will walk in the wisdom of God and also, you will be a happy person!

Why will we be happy when we obey God’s commands?

● God’s favour will always follow us.

● God guides our steps through His word.

● We know that God loves us and He is always with us. 

Prayer

Dear God, I want to obey Your word and get rid of the things that do not please You. Thank You for giving me true happiness. Amen.
