Hello Baby, I Love You! Abc's for Young Momsنموونە
R
is for Rest, Refresh, Restore, Refuel, and Rejuvenate
Take time for yourself! Don't feel guilty. As moms, we spend the majority of our time caring for everyone else. While this is an important part of our job description, we can frequently do it to the extreme, thus neglecting healthy care for ourselves. When we are run down and out of sorts, the challenges of being a mom tend to be magnified. Push pause for a few minutes and take time to reorient your thinking and your mood. While the baby is in his/her crib or bassinet, light a fragrant candle, maybe put on some music, and spend a few minutes thanking God for the beautiful gift of life He has given you and the joy of being a mom (even if you aren't feeling joyful at the moment). Praise Him for His grace and mercy, thank Him for a few moments for yourself, and allow Him to minister to your heart. Remember that He cares for you!
As you praise God for the challenges of parenting, care for yourself in small ways throughout the week, knowing that as you care for yourself, you are also caring for your child.
