Clear Vision: Fulfilling What God Reveals to You by Faithنموونە
I tend to say when God gives you a vision, He also gives provision. For instance, according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the term vision means “the ability to see, a picture that you see in your mind, something that you see, especially as a part of a religious or supernatural experience.” On the other hand, provision means “the act or process of providing, being prepared beforehand.” So, when God gives us a vision, He not only makes it clear on what He wants us to do, but He also supplies us with the materials and faith needed to carry it out.
We see in the book of Genesis God gave Abraham a vision and said to him, “Don’t be afraid, Abram, for I will protect you and your reward will be great.” However, Abraham was still a little disheartened because he did not have any children to inherit all of the blessings that God wanted to bestow upon him.
Shortly thereafter, God encouraged him with a vision. He told Abraham to look to the sky and count the stars if he could because that’s how many descendants he would have one day. Wow! Right? The Bible goes on to say that Abraham believed the Lord and the Lord counted him as righteous, because of his faith.
Sometimes when we are discouraged, the Lord will lift our heads and show us more than we could ever imagine. His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are far beyond our ways. While Abraham may have been grateful for the many blessings, he wasn’t elated until God showed him a vision that he would one day have a son and be the father of many nations.
After the vision was shown to him, he walked by faith and believed that it would come to pass. We know today, God fulfilled His promise and what He revealed to him in private, came to life in public, literally. The Lord provided a wife to reproduce his promised son, Isaac.
The lesson here is that if God gives you a vision, know that He will also give you provision. It may be for an appointed time yet but wait for it in faith. Trust that He will make all of the details crystal clear while bringing it to pass in His perfect timing. So keep believing in private, until He makes it public!
