Praying Through Ephesians with Hillsong Creative

DAY 2 OF 6

After you have completed today’s reading from the Bible, we encourage you to set aside a moment to listen along to the guide provided as we pray and allow God to speak to us through His word.

Ephesians 2:8-10 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Through Jesus’ work on the cross, because of God’s generous gift of grace, we have been wondrously saved. Not only that but He has made us into a people worthy of carrying His Name and doing His work. Take a moment to reflect on this truth: nothing you can do will earn God’s salvation, but because of His salvation He has created you to do good things!

Do you believe that you are God’s handiwork? His masterpiece? Created for a purpose? Ask God to reveal that, now, for the first time, or again.

Think about your day today. Because you are God’s handiwork, He brings purpose to your day, whatever it may look like. What opportunities do you have right now to do good works that may be the very things that God has prepared for you to do?

Take a moment to thank God for His grace. Thank Him that He has made you for a purpose, that you belong in His family.

Father, we’re so humbled that You allow us to partner with You and grace us for every season. Give us opportunities today to show Your love to those who need it most. In Jesus name, Amen.

About this Plan

Praying Through Ephesians with Hillsong Creative

Join the creative community of Hillsong Church as we read and pray through the book of Ephesians. Paul wrote Ephesians as a letter of encouragement to the church in Ephesus and those in the surrounding region. Rather than addressing specific problems within the church, Ephesians stands alone as a message of unity for all believers: unity of Heaven and earth, unity of humanity, and unity of relationships.
