Praying Through Ephesians with Hillsong Creativeنموونە
After you have completed today’s reading from the Bible, we encourage you to set aside a moment to listen along to the guide provided as we pray and allow God to speak to us through His word.
Ephesians 1:9-10 says, “He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfilment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.”
For many of us, God’s will is often seen as a mystery, something we try, in futility, to understand and know. But these verses say that God finds pleasure in making sense of that mystery, that salvation is available to everyone–to you and to me. As you pray today, thank God that He has made a way for you to be a part of His incredible plan.
Have you ever struggled in trying to work out what God’s will is for your life? Have you considered that His will for you is to be a part of His salvation plan for all of humanity?
When we participate in the accomplishment of God’s will, we become a part of bringing unity to all things in heaven and on earth. Think about that for a moment. Does that truth change your understanding of God’s will for your life today?
As you outwork your salvation today, what would it look like for you to live out God’s will of bringing unity to all things under Christ? Would it mean that you would step out in a prayer of faith? Believing for miracles? Sharing your faith? Forgiving others and reconciling a broken relationship? Perhaps an act of grace? Talk to God about those things now.
Take a moment to thank God that He has revealed His will and invited you to participate in his glorious plan for all of creation.
Lord, we thank You for the gift of salvation and the unity we can experience with You. As we walk out our day, remind us of Your great plans and purposes not just for our lives but those around us. Help us to boldly play our part in bringing unity to our world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan
Join the creative community of Hillsong Church as we read and pray through the book of Ephesians. Paul wrote Ephesians as a letter of encouragement to the church in Ephesus and those in the surrounding region. Rather than addressing specific problems within the church, Ephesians stands alone as a message of unity for all believers: unity of Heaven and earth, unity of humanity, and unity of relationships.
