Book of Numbers

DAY 3 OF 12

BLESSINGS IN MINISTRY

The Book of Numbers shows why record-keeping is so important. To believers in this modern era, reading the Book of Numbers may seem boring and very inefficient due to its repetition. But to the twelve tribes of Israel, the record-keeping shows them the value each tribe has before the Lord and shows how every tribe brought their offering enthusiastically. One day when the book would be passed on to the next generation, they would listen carefully, waiting for their tribe name to be called. What a relief to know that their tribe is important to God.

Jesus mentioned that The Great Shepherd is calling His own sheep by name and leads them out (John 10:3). Is it also our desire, to hear God call us by our name? When we minister to God in any type of ministry, He will not ignore us. God will surely bless those who faithfully serve Him. There are always wages for each servant and the wages for His servant is a priceless, spiritual blessing. Remember that no matter how small we consider our part in the ministry, everything is counted to God as important. Therefore, we need to faithfully minister in all God entrusts to us.

What we have sown in the ministry will be counted before God as a seed for our wages. Every wage we receive comes in many forms and has a purpose: to enable believers to share a testimony that the God we worship is a God who preserves the life of His children.

There are wages for those who minister to God and those wages are priceless, spiritual blessings.
