At Midnight: Seeing Victory in Your Situationنموونە
LOVE WON’T GIVE UP
“No matter how far I run
I run into Your love
And when I’m falling apart
You won’t let me go”
We’ve all done things we’re not proud of. Many times we may find ourselves trying to outrun our past or bury the pain, deeming it as unforgivable.
The weight of the hurt we’ve experienced or inflicted can be unbearable and receiving unconditional love from someone can seem impossible.
You may ask yourself, “Who could love me? Do they know what I’ve done?”
At some point, it’s likely that David asked these same questions. After committing adultery and conspiring to commit murder, David had to have felt like a failure. Yet, through all of this, David is recorded in Psalm 139:7-10 saying,
“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.”
This is the good news of God’s love. There’s nothing you can do to earn it or deserve it, therefore there’s nothing you can do to lose it. Life may not always go the way you want it to, but wherever you find yourself, you can know your Father in Heaven loves you and His love will never let you go.
