Everyone. Everywhere. Part 1نموونە
Because of Faith: Jesus rescued us from a life of darkness. He became sin so that we would be free of sin. We were once bound to the master of sin, but Jesus has freed us, and we are now under the Master of grace. Paul, the author of Romans, describes how we participate in the life, baptism, death, and resurrection of Jesus. We who were once dead in our transgressions are made alive through Jesus. God raised Jesus from the dead after three days, and the Father will also raise you from the dead.
Your temporary home is earth, but your future and permanent home is heaven. Keep your eyes and hope focused on the things above and not things of this temporary life. Satan once had chains around you, but Jesus broke those chains so that He could be your master. We are no longer held captive by sin since we are children of God. The result of being freed from the bondage of sin is that you are able to be an instrument of righteousness.
- Questions:
- After reading Romans 6, ask yourself: what will you participate in that Jesus has already done?
- What dominion are you under as a follower of Jesus?
- How can you use your body as an instrument of righteousness?
- Application:
- Make two columns. In the first column, write the words used in Romans 6 that describe you and your life before you were a follower of Jesus. In the second column, write the words that describe you and your life now that you are a follower of Jesus.
