Strengthened In The Presence Of God نموونە
EARLY IN THE MORNING
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Mark 1:35
When they asked Martin Luther, “What do you do when you are very busy? He said, I get up earlier in the morning.” We have to get up early in the morning and give God the first fruits of the day. Our quiet time with God is absolutely essential. Jesus set this example for us. “Very early in the morning while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed” (Mark 1:35).
Jesus taught us that we cannot speak to people about God before we have spoken to God about people. It’s not good enough to just proclaim a message. And how do you find the right message? By spending time with God!
I’ve spent much time in my prayer room waiting on the Lord. The vision to buy a massive truck, the Seed Sower, that took the Word of God from Cape Town through Africa, was given to me here in this very room.
That took six months of spending time with Him from four o’clock in the morning until twelve o’clock midday.
Maybe you do not have so many hours, but you can still give God the first fruits of the day.
Revival often starts with one man or woman who spends time on their knees in the presence of God. Quiet time is the match that is struck which starts the revival.
Do you sit quietly at the Lord’s feet in the mornings and pray to Him?
Are you excited about what the Lord is going to do in your life?
Lord Jesus, I want to follow Your example and pray to You early in the morning so that You can give me a message to proclaim throughout the day. Amen
