Jesus’ victory over death assures us of our life after death!

Jesus’ resurrection from the dead was ‘the first fruits’ of those who’d be raised. That means that He was just the first of many. All those who belong to Him will be physically raised from the dead in the last days when He returns to earth.

So our spirit will still be alive and will be given a new body on that day. Until then, we’ll be with the Lord in heaven, existing in a spiritual state and fellowshipping with Him. As Paul said in 2 Corinthians 5:8: ‘… we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord’.
