Journey With Jesus 365নমুনা
The Parable of the Two Sons was a strong rebuke to the religious leaders. Jesus likened them to the second son who said he would work for his father but did not. In doing so, the Lord placed tax collectors and prostitutes above these religious authorities. This parable still resonates today. Many people are part of a church, practicing religious rituals and affirming doctrines, yet they are not true Christians unless a transformation has taken place in their lives.
As Scripture states, “Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”. The tax collectors and prostitutes recognized their need for salvation and came to Christ. Initially, they had said "no" to God, but later repented and were accepted by Him. They believed in His message and were transformed. In contrast, the religious leaders, who claimed to be righteous and obedient, did not believe or repent even when they witnessed this transformation.
The religious leaders had a superficial, outward show of religion with no real substance. In contrast, when a person accepts Jesus Christ as their Savior, the change is not just external but an inward renewal; their heart and soul are made new.
Do your actions align with your words when it comes to serving God? Are there areas in your life where you say "yes" to God but fail to follow through?
In what ways do you practice genuine faith versus just external religious rituals? How can you ensure that your faith is not just an outward display but an inward transformation?
What changes have you experienced since committing your life to Christ? Can you point to specific ways in which you have become a "new creature"?
